rod

DESCRIPTION

Wire rods are hot rolled from billets to an approximately round cross section and produced in coils of one continuous length. Wire rods are not comparable to hot rolled bars in accuracy of cross section or surface finish due to manufacturing methods. Wire rods are a solid semi-finished hot rolled product intended primarily for the manufacture of wire. page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Wire Facts

Commonly used gauge numbers originated with the sizing of wire rod. The rod was the starting point for the gauge and was referenced as zero gauge. Higher gauge numbers represented the number of times a rod had to be cold-drawn to obtain a size.
