On July 13, 2022, Mid-South Wire celebrated the 15th Anniversary of the startup of our Scott City, Missouri Plant! Since 2007, the Scott City plant has been a highly efficient, well-run plant that has produces 80-100 million pounds or wire each year. The addition of the Scott City Missouri plant is shining example of the many successes in the MSW book! The design and layout of the Scott City Plant has made it one of the most efficient operations in the Country. The plant utilizes heavy duty conveyors and cranes to move its production materials from the storage yard, through the production processes, and straight through to the shipping warehouse with minimal handling. This results in a smooth flow of product through the plant – with less lift truck traffic and no bottlenecks. Finished coils of up to 4,000 pounds are conveyed directly from production floor to the shipping warehouse, and not moved again until they are on the way to the Customer.
